    A global medical technology client is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Durham, NC.

    This direct hire employee will be responsible for various aspects of the design, development, test, and manufacturing of their pharmacy automation equipment.

    The focus of this role will be to support their Vision systems and will require the individual to participate in both new product development, as well as, sustaining activities with manufacturing teams, for our existing product fleet.

    What You'll Do

    Design electrical systems that enable our pharmacy automation equipment


    These systems could include:
    pcba's, cables, power supplies, motors, sensors and other electro-mechanical devices.
    Support migrating the existing product designs into company document and change control systems.

    Work with procurement team to identify replacement components which have gone end of life or have drastically increased in part costing.

    Update and release design files to accommodate the new components.

    Handle manufacturing issues, maintain and improve test setups, solve unit issues, analyze field issues, handle component issues, and provide general electrical product support.

    Provide electrical solutions for changes to existing products in terms of: design test setups for manufacturing, write test applications, develop tools for system diagnostics and monitoring capabilities, and provide support for existing board designs.

    Apply knowledge of electrical engineering to design and improve products including robotics, servo systems, power electronics, communications networks, and supervisory control systems.

    Create, update, and release technical documentation to support the electrical aspects of the systems being developed.

    Must Haves

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
    Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
    Demonstrated knowledge with motion control, power electronics, servo systems, and embedded control systems
    Familiarity with Altium PCB development environment or similar EE design package

    Salary Range of $85,000 to $100,000 + full medical benefits & PTO package (salary depends on skills/education level)
