    Description

    **Job Title:** Software Manager

    Ambitious software professionals are sought for a hybrid technical-leadership role. This position entails leading, mentoring, motivating, and training junior software engineers while maintaining an active role as a software development engineer.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote a productive work environment where employees can contribute, grow & thrive
    • Define team roles and responsibilities to ensure clear expectations
    • Establish performance standards and evaluate performance
    • Support engineers in meeting their commitments
    • Compensate and reward exceptional performance
    • Interview, select, and onboard top talent in the market
    • Provide career advice, guidance, and support growth development plans
    • Serve as a channel for company communications

    Software Development Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Derive software requirements, design, implement, integrate, and test software for real-time simulation applications
    • Create new simulation models using established and new modeling techniques
    • Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and meet budget and schedule commitments
    • Participate in design/code reviews
    • Create and maintain project and product line software documentation

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other technical field
    • Minimum 8 years software development experience
    • 3-5 years leadership experience with a proven track record of effective leadership
    • Strong initiative, follow-up skills, and attention to detail
    • Solid communication skills for interaction with Engineering Directors, Program Management, and company leadership

    Security Responsibilities:

    Must comply with all company security and data protection policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper handling and storage of information and materials. Shall not divulge any information outside the company without management approval.
