Insight Global's client, a leading construction company specializing in custom high-end homes, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Newport Beach, California.

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs, guiding purchasing decisions, and overseeing existing projects.

This small company of 10 people usually has 15+ active projects at once and over the next 2 months will be growing the portfolio with 6 new custom homes and need a dedicated Senior Estimator to tackle this challenge.

We are looking for someone with independent decision-making skills, extreme attention to detail, and willingness to work onsite 5 days a week in Newport Beach, CA for this full-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your extensive experience to accurately estimate project costs for custom high-end homes, ensuring thoroughness and precision in all assessments.
• Take ownership of existing projects, providing leadership and guidance to project teams to ensure successful completion within budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and clients, to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to inform accurate estimates.
• Lead the purchasing process, leveraging your expertise to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior estimators, fostering their professional growth within the organization.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with custom/ high end residential home estimating OR 5+ years of experience with custom home estimating
• Ability to own full project (bidding, estimating, purchasing)
• Experience with custom homes OR high end residential homes
• Very detail oriented, little to no mistakes in career
• Bluebeam / Procore null
