    Medical Lab Technician


    PRN


    As a Medical Lab Tech at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, you'll join a team and be a part of a culture that's dedicated to providing top quality care to our patients.

    Requirements:

    • An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university required. Degree must be in Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
    • Eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT, ASCP, AMT, HEW) or equivalent required. Completed registration within 12 months of graduation.
    • Laboratory training through an accredited laboratory school is preferred.
    • One to two years experience is preferred.

    About the Job:

    • Performs all required procedures relating to moderate and high complexity laboratory testing on all types of blood and body fluid specimens.
    • Performs quality control procedures, instrument function checks, and preventative maintenance as required according to department policies and procedures.
    • Teaches new employees laboratory policies and procedures.
