    Job DescriptionSalary: $55,500.00

    Job Summary

    Under the supervision and direction of a certificated employee, the Licensed Vocational Nurse will support students with specific medical needs and offer general site-level support in all health areas. The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides specialized health care services to students, including but not limited to students with health and nursing services as outlined in an Individual Education Program; administers first aid, dispenses prescribed medication to students, and performs other health-related functions; maintains health records and orders health supplies; promotes the health of children, supports student academic progress and growth and performs other related duties as assigned under the direct or indirect guidance and supervision of a Credentialed School Nurse (CSN) in the school environment.

    • Regularly required to sit, stand, twist, turn, bend, walk, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
    • Regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment.
    • Regularly required to see and observe students, walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, and hear and speak to exchange information.
    • Regularly required to possess dexterity of hand and fingers, kneel, bend at the waist, sit on the floor, climb stairs, and reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to perform assigned duties; lift light objects.
    • Regularly required to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    3. Education: High School Diploma or GED, and graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing.

    4. Preferred Experience: One (1) year working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a clinic, medical, or student health facility.

    5. Valid State of California License of Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification

    Length of Work Year: 10 months
