Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for analyzing loan applications to ensure accuracy and validity, while obtaining all required documentation that will be needed to process direct loans by meeting established credit union guidelines.
Assist members via telephone and/or email to provide support through the loan process by informing them of next steps and obtaining the necessary information/documents needed to process the loan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Management reserves the right to change or modify the functions of this job as required to meet the needs of the organization.
Reviews and processes loan applications on all loan origination software and presents all stipulations and supporting forms required for credit decisioning to underwriting.
Upon loan closing and funding, ensures the loan file is complete and accurate according to policies and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to legal descriptions, closing dates, and signatures.
Processes payoff checks with loan proceeds when required for all loan types.
Prepares auto loan title applications and associated forms in a timely fashion to place evolve Federal Credit Union security interests/liens on title document(s).
Processes Balance Transfers and Cash Advances on credit cards as requested.
Drive company vehicle to drop off and pick up paperwork and/or mail to and from the tax office and between branches for distribution to appropriate departments as needed.
Assists members quickly and courteously with answers to questions and/or issues that may arise during all stages of the loan process.
Cross-sells credit union products and services as appropriate.Balances and reviews daily loan processing transactions and prepares loan reports as required.
Assists underwriters as requested.
Performs other duties and assists in other areas of the Credit Union as requested by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A minimum of one year customer service experience (example; member service representative, customer service representative, intake clerk, etc.). Experience or knowledge of loan functions in the credit field (interviewing, credit checks, etc.) is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with members and employees of the credit union.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Good written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to enjoy dealing with members of the Credit Union is also required. Good organizational skills are needed. Must have a valid driver's license due to driving responsibilities.
