    Job Summary:

    Access PT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced hands-on Patient Relations Representative who will be a key member of the Billing Team. In this position you will be expected to review and manage all assigned patient accounts in regard to collecting the patient's out-of-pocket expenses.

    This is a full-time position, the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. The salary is 18.00 an hour.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review Patient AR reports.
  • Run collection letters.
  • Prepare collections spreadsheet.
  • Review ad work through unapplied payments.
  • Post patient statements for accuracy.
  • Follow up calls on patients' outstanding balances.
  • Follow up calls to attorneys on lien accounts.
  • Work closely with the Billing Team and clinics to ensure best practices and consistency.
    -Attend and participate in department meetings.
    -Communicate with Clinics/Partners/Directors regarding patient accounts.
  • Answer patient calls and emails regarding accounts concerns.
  • Follow through on patient accounts issues until resolved.
  • Report any issues to Supervisor.
  • Be able to provide EOB to patients
  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Discipline – Because it is such a competitive career, you must be driven and self-disciplined.
  • Organization – Being organized is essential as this position reviews and analyzes patient files and insurance documents.
  • Detail Oriented – Attention to detail is an important job requirement.
  • Phone Skills- Proper phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills are necessary as phone conversations with patients, clinics and insurance carriers are frequent.
  • Experience in medical billing and cash applications.
  • Physical Requirements:

    · Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
