    Job Description:

    The Paraprofessional role is a vital part of our educational team, providing non-teaching classroom support and student personal care services under the supervision of an assigned teacher or assistant principal.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a safe, orderly environment conducive to learning
    • Assist students with remedial and enrichment activities, reinforcing instructional objectives introduced by the teacher
    • Support students with developmental delays, including G-Tube support, seizures, diabetes, communicative behaviors, diapering, and toilet-support
    • Display flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks
    • Participate in implementation of individual education plans and effectively follow outlined behavior plans

    Requirements:

    • Associates Degree, High School Diploma, or Paraprofessional Aide Permit
    • Highly Desired: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
    • Experience working with special needs students in an educational setting
    • Current Educational Aide Permit with Ohio Department of Education & Workforce, or current qualifications to apply

    Work Environment:

    The Paraprofessional will work primarily in a classroom setting, interacting with students, teachers, and staff. Physical demands include regular sitting, use of hands, talking, and hearing, as well as frequent standing, walking, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

    Compensation:

    The estimated salary for this position is $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
