- Provide Air Traffic Control experience for the FAA's Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) program with the ability to develop and execute test plans/procedures and reports.
- Demonstrate initiative, customer orientation and teamwork competencies.
- Able to work independently under general guidelines and objectives.
- Limited (25% or less) travel to locations throughout the US.
- Desk/lab located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
- Technical Tester with experience on one of the following NAS programs: STARS, Time Based Flow Management System (TFMS) or Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM).
- Ability to develop test plans, test procedures and test reports.
- Ability to execute test procedures in the lab environment.
- Ability to work individually and within a group/team.
- Ability to take direction and initiative; ability to provide direction and training.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required.
- Upon conditional offer of employment candidates will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.
- Verification of past employment, verification of education and references are also required.
- Technical Tester with the required knowledge plus experience in STARS/NAS and Test.
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 17 years of NAS related experience is required, with a minimum of 12 of those years as a Certified Professional Air Traffic Controller (CPC) in a civilian or military En Route, Oceanic or Terminal Air Traffic Control facility.
