- Develop and maintain financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, budgeting, and results analysis.
- Analyze manufacturing variations and provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve differences.
- Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
- Install, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures relative to those systems.
- Coordinate the year-end closing activities for multiple entities and interfaces with outside accountants.
- Leadership and active involvement and engagement in the team's tasks are the culture and the expectation in this role.
- Become a subject matter expert in costing and financial data reporting.
