Schedules workload for shifts other than the one to which is assigned, when required. Moves from one shift or shop to another as required or assigned.Recommends improvements in shop operating procedures, policies and processes and may recommend the acquisition of additional or new equipment and machinery when costs and production problems dictate.
Resolves scheduling or personnel concerns which may cross-over various shop areas to assure established priorities are met and efficient operation is maximized Job Requirements / Qualifications : Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a union environment.
Requires shop knowledge equivalent to four years' apprenticeship or two years' college or engineering school training. Prefer experience in heavy fabrication, fitting and welding. Must possess good leadership and strong communications skills. Must be available for scheduled overtime. Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship. Position requires U.S.Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
