    Description

    Assembler Position at XYZ Company

    In this role, you will be responsible for assembling VISTA units and related subassemblies in a production setting. The job involves continuous, fast-paced tasks that must be completed within specified timeframes. As part of an assembly line with multiple stations, you may need to adapt and work across different areas based on business demands. Tasks will require good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the consistent use of various tools and equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics, with a mandatory wire crimping certification.
    • Identify, transport, install, and secure various components, ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs., including bus assemblies, high-voltage switches, and more.
    • Conduct self-inspections using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.
    • Operate material handling equipment, hand and power tools, gauges, instruments, and cranes effectively.

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical operations.
    • Proficiency in using basic shop math and measurement tools like tape measures.
    • Ability to follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and specifications accurately.
    • Experience with air impact tools and various handheld tools.

    Physical Demands:

    • Standing: Tasks primarily completed while standing with occasional walking.
    • Lifting: Regular lifting of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
    • Walking: Occasionally walking short distances.
    • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items weighing 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
    • Pushing & Pulling: Occasional use of electric hand truck for moving parts.
    • Bending: Frequently required for assembly tasks.
    • Reaching: Full range of motion needed for various actions.
    • Handling: Continuous handling of parts and tools.
