    Description

    The Linux Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Linux-based infrastructures within an enterprise environment. This professional is responsible for architecting robust and scalable solutions, ensuring seamless integration, and providing technical leadership to enhance the organization's overall efficiency, security, and productivity.

    What you will do:

    System Architecture Design:

    • Design and implement high-performing, reliable, and secure Linux-based systems and solutions tailored to meet enterprise needs. Develop and document comprehensive architecture blueprints outlining the configuration, integration, and implementation details.

    Infrastructure Optimization:

    • Evaluate existing Linux systems and infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

    Technology Evaluation and Selection:

    • Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate Linux technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance enterprise capabilities. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions.

    Security and Compliance:

    • Implement robust security measures to safeguard Linux systems, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to Linux security.

    Integration and Interoperability:

    • Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other enterprise applications and services. Troubleshoot integration issues and provide effective solutions.

    Capacity Planning and Scalability:

    • Perform capacity planning to anticipate future infrastructure requirements. Design scalable solutions that can handle increasing workloads efficiently.

    Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

    • Create detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff regarding Linux best practices and methodologies.

    What you will need to have:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Extensive experience in designing and implementing Linux-based enterprise solutions.
    • Strong proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Server) and associated technologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of system and network administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
    • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Would be nice to have:

    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
    • Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC).
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud certifications.
