    Description

    Overview:


    Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of processes, materials, and products by performing the tasks detailed below.

    Ensures that product is certified as compliant to customer design requirements.

    Supports the inspection/quality system ensuring all aspects of the finished article is manufactured in accordance with approved quality system requirements.

    Works under general supervision, in a team-oriented environment. Performs tasks in a timely and efficient manner.


    Responsibilities:
    Perform system, product, and process audits to the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS).
    Develop and evolve company procedures, work instructions and forms to maintain Quality Management System compliance.
    Support external audits, including Customer, AS9100 and NADCAP.
    Develop process, monitor and audit to ensure Suppliers meet compliance and quality standards.
    Drive continuous improvement with data driven, innovative, sustaining solutions.

    And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organizations Values.

    Apply the company Corrective and Preventative action processes.
    Participate in Customer Qualification activity and the new part introduction process.
    Read, analyze, and understand Customer specifications and engineering documentation.
    Create inspection plans, tools, and techniques to support the production of composite layup, fabrication, and assembly.
    Create AS9102 First Article documents and present to the customer. Perform the associated inspections when required.
    Review Engineering travelers / work instructions for compliance to customer requirements.
    Conduct product, system, or process failure investigations, and provide technical assistance in resolution of quality problems.
    Participate in the non-conformance process for internal and external rejections.
    Other duties may be assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience.
    Bachelors degree in a related subject.
    Working knowledge of composite manufacturing processes preferred.
    Four (4) years related technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
    Three (3) years experience in a related Quality Department role.
    ASQ Certification as Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor preferred.

    er Skills:
    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    A working knowledge of CATIA is preferred.
    A working knowledge of Minitab, or other statistical software is preferred.

    Language Skills:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Understanding of fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
