Marshall Public Schools is seeking applications for the position of Special Education (DCD) Teacher. This position is located at Southview Elementary serving students in grades 2-4.

The Special Education DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) Teacher develops, plans, and implements Individualized Education Program (IEP) plans and instructional strategies for students with significant cognitive disabilities. This position focuses on fostering academic, functional, social, and life skills to support students' independence and success in school and community settings.

The ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, active environment is a must. Candidates should possess the ability to work as a team in making student-centered decisions.  The candidate should also have strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
 
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required and ability to obtain proper MN Teacher licensure from MN Department of Education are required.

Salary/Contract: 1.0 FTE 185-day contract beginning with the school year.  Excellent salary and benefits, beginning salary dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience.
