    Why you should work at camp:

    Working at camp can be a fun, life-changing experience, but it is also a great place to build a variety of skills that future employers are looking for. Skills you'll develop at camp this summer include conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, creativity and problem solving, management skills, time management and prioritization, plus valuable experience working directly with children.

    What you'll do:

    As staff, you'll spend your summer at Camp Butterworth, in Maineville, Ohio, providing camp programming for our day camp program. You'll help girls choose their own adventures while participating inhiking, swimming, creeking, outdoor living skills, building teamwork, archery, nature activities, crafts, or working on badge or Girl Scout Journey activities. Each Thursday evening, our staff stay overnight to facilitate an overnight experience for the campers.

    In most cases, you will have the option to live on-site, or off-site if you live locally. Staff have most evenings and weekends off, with the exception Thursday overnights.

    Positions Available:

    • Staff Director (1) - $85/day (live on-site) - Directly supervises the staff to ensure camp and industry standards are met. Schedules staff into weekly groups and ensures they are meeting all their weekly goals during their time at camp. Applicants must be at least 21 years old or older.
    • Unit Counselors $71/day (live on-site) or $86/day (live off-site) * - Provides a quality camp experience through the planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out of activities and guiding campers in their personal growth. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
    *Daily rates are listed above. The full seasonal schedule is 54 days worked; overall seasonal pay will vary depending on the number of days worked/time-off taken.

    Basic Requirements:
    • Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age for specific positions
    • Previous experience teaching or delivering programming to youth
    • Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal background check as required by Ohio law
    • Must possess a valid state driver's license for specific positions
    • Must have High School Diploma, GED, or National Career Readiness Certificate
