    The Davenport Group, established in 2004, is a software solutions and professional services firm specializing in designing and implementing software solutions for public sector clients. As we continue to expand and meet the evolving needs of our clients, we are looking to enhance our team with talented professionals.

    We are currently seeking a Configuration Specialist and Software Trainer to join us in configuring permitting, planning, licensing, and code enforcement software for local government cities and counties. The role involves addressing user queries, troubleshooting software issues, and includes approximately 25% travel to client locations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support requirements gathering and business process analysis for local government clients
    • Assist in software configuration based on business rules and requirements
    • Participate in weekly client meetings via Teams or Zoom
    • Develop and deliver online training sessions for software products
    • Conduct in-person client training at various locations in the United States and Canada
    • Handle support calls, chats, emails, and other user communications related to software
    • Take charge of customer-reported issues and ensure resolutions
    • Investigate, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for customer problems
    • Follow established procedures for escalating unresolved issues
    • Offer timely and accurate responses to customers
    • Ensure proper documentation and resolution of all reported issues
    • Perform other assigned duties as needed

    Requirements:

    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
    • Professional telephone etiquette
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities

    Compensation package:

    • Performance-based bonus

    • 2 years of experience in Municipal Permitting (Required)

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday work schedule
    • 9-day fortnight schedule (alternate Fridays off)
    • 8.5-hour shifts

    Work Location:

    • Remote position with no in-office requirements
    • Ability to travel to client sites when needed
