    Software Tester/Quality Assurance Engineer at Global Device Company in Seattle, WA or Cupertino, CA

    The mission of the Data Platform org is to provide our engineers and data scientists an innovative, reliable, secured, and easy-to-use infrastructure for ingesting, storing, processing, and interacting with data and ultimately help the teams that build data-intensive applications be successful. As a Quality Engineer you'll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, creating test plans, bug reporting and triaging, identifying automation opportunities, and supporting design reviews. You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with feature teams to understand feature goals, components being modified, and interactions with the rest of the system.
    • Develop feature test plans to ensure the portal achieves its testing goals.
    • Implement new tests when needed to achieve adequate coverage.
    • Automate end-to-end and unit-level testing.
    • Manage automated testing and triage test failures.
    • Report on testing status and follow up to ensure regressions are addressed.

    Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of web testing or development
    • Experience with selenium, cypress, playwright, puppeteer, cucumber, nightwatch or similar website and UI testing frameworks.
    • Demonstrated experience creating tests that identify software bugs.
    • Analytical skills to independently perform first-level triage on test failures.
    • Software skills with automation languages such as Python, Swift, Ruby, or JavaScript
    • Detailed-oriented approach to understanding, documenting, and executing on test requirements.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively about technical topics (verbal and written)

    Location: Hybrid out of Seattle, WA or Cupertino, CA

    Work Schedule: (2-3 days onsite)

    Type: 4-month Contract

    Pay Rate Range: $76- $91/hr (DOE)
