    Description

    Job Title: Nursing Assistant
    Company: Healthcare Organization

    The Nursing Assistant is a crucial member of the nursing care team at our organization, providing safe physical and emotional care to residents in various settings. In this role at our Short Stay Rehab clinic, you will develop technical nursing skills while delivering quality care.

    • Above high school education with courses related to the NA occupation
    • Specialized study of less than one year may fulfill experience requirements for GS-3

    All Nursing Assistants employed before March 12, 2015, are considered to have met the qualification requirements. While employees not meeting all requirements must fulfill them before permanent reappointment.

    • Full performance level for this position is GS-5
    • Applicants may be selected at the GS-3 to GS-5 levels
    • Additional qualification criteria must be met for each grade
    • KSAs must be demonstrated for GS-4 and GS-5 levels

    Duties:

    • Assist with positioning and lifting veterans
    • Manage tube feedings and record intake/output
    • Promote skin integrity and interact compassionately with residents and families
    • Take vital signs and report changes to RN/Charge Nurse
    • Conduct tests, such as glucometer readings
    • Handle emergency situations and medical events

    Work Schedule: Full-time/part-time shifts available.

    Additional Pay:

    • Shift Differential and Weekend Premium available
    • Recruitment Incentive up to $1,000 for eligible applicants
