Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical, Nights

Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare provider, is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical Surgical unit during night shifts.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients within our client's Medical Surgical unit. Responsibilities include assessing and reassessing patients, formulating nursing diagnoses, developing care plans, implementing care, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse will also initiate health education for patients and families and provide leadership to other team members.

Must-Haves:

• Graduated from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse
• BLS certification required
• Ability to function in stressful situations
• Verbal ability to present information related to nursing theory and practice
• Ability to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with leadership qualities
• Cognitive and practical ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Licenses: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama

Additional Requirements:

• BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire date
• ACLS required within 6 months of employment

Technical Skills:

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems proficiency
• Strong computer skills
