Job DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, etc. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock. Serves as payroll check custodian for department heads.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom. Counts, sorts, or weighs, incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications. Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material. Fills orders or issues supplies from stock. Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock. Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock. May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space. May cut stock to size to fill order. May move or transport material or supplies to other departments, using hand or industrial truck. May maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal. May receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies. Files vendor payment vouchers. Researches and resolves questions about vendor invoices. Reviews weekly payroll labor summaries and identify labor distribution errors. Serves as payroll check custodian for department heads. Generates weekly/monthly CIMPRO raw materials reports and updates tracking reports. Updates departmental monthly rolling responsibility statements and for casts. Prepares and electronically submits journal entries. Prepares monthly operations analysis report. Assists in preparation and distribution of owner's manual. Monitors in transit activity. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]
High School Diploma or GED.
TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and skill equivalent to completion of high school, with two years accounting/clerical experience in a computerized environment. Excellent computer, organizational and mathematical skills.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as Account II back up for CIMPRO reconciliation. Relieve and fill for weekly CIMPRO certification and inventory adjustments. Learn other job assignments within the functional area. Participate in the CCJ Safe team and Quality program.
EQUIPMENT
Computer and associated software, computer equipment, copy machine, telephone, fax machine, calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a normal office environment.
