Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant Float to join our team.

As a Medical Assistant Float, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services and patient care management.

Your responsibilities will include assisting providers with medical tasks and office duties, ensuring the smooth flow of operations within our clinics.

Responsibilities:

In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for escorting patients to examination rooms, ensuring they're prepared for their exams, and accurately recording vital signs and patient information.

You'll assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures, administering medications and injections under their supervision.

Coordinating referral appointments, medication refills, and other patient needs will be part of your daily tasks, along with managing incoming and outgoing calls to ensure precise communication of patient information.

Additionally, you'll schedule ancillary tests and procedures as directed, and promptly communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients.

Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office and medical equipment will be essential, while also serving as a patient coach, offering support and care coordination.

As part of a collaborative team, you'll cross-train and provide coverage for colleagues as needed, ensuring seamless operations. Your role will also involve performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the efficient functioning of our healthcare environment.

As a float, the hours may vary based on the needs of the organization. Typically, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional flexibility for coverage as needed. This role offers exposure to various departments within the organization, providing a diverse experience.


Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with CPR certification (available upon hire).

While one to two years of experience in a clinical setting as a CNA, PCA, or MA is preferred, we welcome individuals who are open to learning and educating themselves in medical terminology.
