    Description
    Summary: The Service Bureau Expeditor is responsible for facilitating the flow within the department to ensure delivered supplies & materials arrive on time and ensure the compliance with production plans. The Expeditor is the middle step between master scheduler and Service Bureau production shop floor to helps enhance the efficiency, particularly the delivery of product, supplies and shipments. The Service Bureau Expeditor is responsible to ensure job specifications are correct, necessary materials are available, determine most efficient way to produce job with reducing set-ups, all while working within the budgeted (sales) amount to successfully complete the job. The Job Expeditor is responsible for working with Customer Care, Scheduling, Production, Shipping and Procurement so the above functions can be executed properly.

    Supervises: Service Bureau Department

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in the coordination of activities and personnel in the Service Bureau Department
    • Work with internal teams to verify correct information is provided on job ticket/ Data Proof
    • Coordinate with procured material needs of specialty items, outside services and supplied materials (if any)
    • Review and identify any changes/ deviations
    • Work with scheduling department to verify schedule/ customer milestones
    • Identify delays in future shipments & tracking orders
    • Communicate any issues to Customer Care department as needed
    • Safely perform physical demands as indicated below
    • Work overtime as needed to meet customers' needs
    Qualifications:
    • 3 or more years of experience in card manufacturing, or custom manufacturing production and planning/ scheduling
    • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training a plus
    Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Computer literate, must be able to work within PLI's ERP system, intermediate MS office skills are required (Word & Excel)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to work in a fast pace environment/ understands sense of urgency
    • Attention to detail and time management
    • Work well independently and within a team
    • Strong problem solving skills
