    Oncology Specialists of Charlotte is seeking an Experienced Infusion Nurse to join our well-established oncology physician group practice in Charlotte,
    NC.

    About the Role


    Oncology Specialists of Charlotte's primary purpose and passion is to provide the most advanced cancer treatment, using cutting-edge technologies, in a community setting where patients can be close to home and surrounded by family and friends Qualified candidates are required to have strong IV skills and outpatient nursing experience.

    Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Thursday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday. Infusion/Oncology Experience is required for the role.

    Responsibilities


    • Provide all patient care that reflects respect for patient rights, dignity, values, cultural preferences, and expressed needs.
    • Assess the patient's physical, psychological, and social needs.
    • Infusions for both oncology and hematology patients.
    • Assess pain and implement appropriate pain management techniques.
    • Develop, implement, and revise care plans that reflect the patient's diagnosis and outlined standards of care.
    • Involve patients and/or significant others in decisions regarding care.
    • Document patient history, symptoms, assessments, tests, and care according to guidelines.
    • Review patient history, diagnostics, and lab data, and report any abnormalities.
    • Educate patients and families on managing injuries and illnesses to ensure a safe and successful discharge.
    Qualifications


    • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
    • Must possess a current, valid North Carolina RN license.
    • CPR Certification.
    • ONS Chemotherapy/Biohazard Certified.
    • One year of relevant chemo infusion experience is preferred.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Excellent IV and central line access skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during stressful times.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Dedication to providing the best patient care possible.
    • Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department-specific software.
