    Overview


    Job Title: Project Manager

    Address: Anderson, South Carolina (100% Onsite)

    Duration: 7+ month contract with likelihood for extension

    Duties

    • Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to help define and develop methods and procedures and institute best practices.
    • Ensure the procedures are enforced on your projects.
    • Create the project scope of work in conjunction with the technical and relationship sales team defining responsibilities as well as other stakeholders.
    • Utilize standard Project Management tools to conduct the project effectively, achieving quality, financial and schedule targets.
    • Define and obtain the appropriate resources required to fulfill the project scope of work.
    • Work with all functional group leaders to develop the project organizational resource chart. Develop a RACI Matrix to ensure functional groups understand roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
    • Coordinate with order management, plant production, logistics, contractors, services and warranty groups throughout the project, escalating potential conflicts to avoid impact to the customer, and balance large projects demand with flow business.
    • Work closely with the Site Manager (SM) to ensure understanding and communication of the schedule, budget and scope.
    • Visit the site periodically to establish relationships with SM and key contractor and customer personnel.
    • Evaluate alternative delivery methods to help ensure success of the project utilizing the expertise in other functional areas of the organization.
    • Establish and implement processes with a focus on hand-offs between functional areas.
    • Escalate and create urgency around any issues that would impede the success of the project.
    • Ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to the stakeholders.
    • Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path. Coordinate the team to implement short term and long-term resolution.
    • Must have ability to communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings and presentations.
    • Follow Reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for quality, schedule and cost targets.
    • Establish project reporting and KPI's.
    • Document meeting notes, action items and follow through to completion.
    • Be proactive in establishing a culture of Safety for each project. Host periodic safety meetings to ensure the project is always considering safety first.

    Skills (Minimum Job Qualifications)

    • 3 to 5 years of project management experience, critical infrastructure expertise with UPS, thermal, battery and monitoring are a plus.
    • Knowledge of construction, electrical and mechanical contracting.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Detail-oriented
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure and commissioning processes is helpful.

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Bachelor's or Associates degree or equivalent experience.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
