Licensed HVAC Technician or Licensed Building Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed HVAC Technician or Licensed Building Engineer to perform complex technical work in the HVAC trade functions, on a journeyman level, in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of commercial building systems, equipment, and related mechanical systems, in accordance with applicable industry codes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as an onsite supervisor for a team of 6 maintenance technicians including licensed plumber, licensed electrician and general maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

Maintains and supports subcontractors in the performance of maintenance on all primary and secondary HVAC systems.
Must have technical knowledge of, operate, maintain, and perform proactive, reactive, and preventive maintenance of commercial and industrial Building Automation System (BAS), 200+ tons Centrifugal Chillers, Air Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Handling Units, DX units, Pumps, Variable Air Volume, Reheats, Fan Coil Unit, Low Pressure Steam, Steam Traps, Heat Exchangers, Chemical Treatment, Controls and other building mechanical equipment.
Perform periodic tours, recording required data in operating logs.
Inspect engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling tower, all motors, house pumps, electric rooms, back-up generator, fire pump(s), sump pump(s), and ejector pumps.

Requirements

Licenses, Registrations or Certifications for HVAC Mechanic Or Building Engineer
Hold and maintain required federal badging for building access (Public Trust Clearance)
Journeymans HVAC License or license in a reciprocity jurisdiction or DC 3rd Class Engineer License or Engineer license in a reciprocity jurisdiction
Universal CFC

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
