    Position Summary
    Under moderate supervision, this position will handle the receipt, configuration and redistribution of client computing systems and accessories for all university staff and faculty. This role requires an exceptional attention to detail, advanced multi-tasking skills, the capability to lift 20 to 50lbs regularly while moving safely and frequently as well as a clean driving record.

    Job Description

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Process incoming requests: Duties include sourcing all equipment for each order from warehouse and/or build space storage, image computers using MECM task sequence and complete post- process updates and quality validation for every device.
    • Receive, sort, process, and store incoming and outgoing client computing-based equipment.
    • Plan, coordinate and deliver equipment to numerous locations both on and off campus utilizing company provided transportation.
    • Maintain build workspace inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency. Transport computer equipment within the warehouse via hand truck and/or forklift as well as between various storage locations within the depot headquarters.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Some technical training preferred and experience in warehouse/delivery logistics.
    • Team Skills: Support teammates consistently and in any way necessary to maintain a productive, energetic, efficient, and dynamic WashU IT team. Communicate effectively and frequently both verbally and in writing with other members of the team. Collaborate with other teammates to provide assistance, and expertise, as well as to receive expert input and assistance from others to ensure delivery of the best solution and experience for the customer.
    • Customer Service: Must possess an aptitude for patience, professionalism, tactfulness and empathy. Must be enthusiastic and committed to helping others and exhibit the ability to quickly assess the specific needs of the customer to determine an appropriate course of action. Must be able to quickly defuse stressful or anxious situations.
    • Experience supporting all standard office productivity applications and computing platforms in an enterprise environment.
    • Ability to understand, be accountable, and complete assigned tasks associated with projects such as system upgrades, system integration, and system administration.
    • Strong customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work load to appropriately respond to customer needs and demands.
    • Ability to build and maintain rapport with technical staff, leadership and customers.
    • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel.
    • Ability to learn and navigate an IT service platform.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
    • Missouri Class E driverâTMs license and Class I Forklift license will be required within one month of start date if not already obtained prior to hiring.

    Salary Range
    $16.08 – $21.47 / Hourly

    The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
