    Description
    Overview:
    The Physical Therapist - Residency Site Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the sports and/or orthopedic residency program in a local area.
    This position requires an experienced Physical Therapist who collaborates with various teams to enhance the practice standards of the region.
    Responsibilities:
    Residency Specific Responsibilities:
    • Participate in recruiting and interviewing residency candidates.
    • Assist in maintaining residency credentialing through regular reporting.
    • Conduct mentoring and mentor evaluation.
    • Facilitate specialty observation with physicians and providers.
    • Provide didactic and lab instruction.
    Clinical Responsibilities and Expectations:
    • Perform evaluations and establish goal-based care plans.
    • Monitor progress and adjust goals based on recovery trajectory.
    • Create care plans aligned with best practice guidelines for positive outcomes.
    • Manage caseload effectively and delegate tasks among the care team.
    • Meet performance expectations and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
    • Assist with daily clinic operations.
    Qualifications:
    Minimum Education:
    • Doctorate (DPT) or Clinical BS or MS in physical therapy with five years of clinical experience.
    Minimum Experience:
    • Must have served as instructor in physical therapist education.
    • 5+ years' experience as a licensed PT in an outpatient setting.
    Preferred:
    • Prior role as a residency director or site coordinator.

    • Establishes leadership within the care team.
    • Engaged and positive work approach.
    • Delegates care effectively based on case complexity.
    • Manages care episodes across a caseload.
    • Sets achievable goals and adjusts treatment plans effectively.
    • Demonstrates best practices in patient management.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Flexible and adaptable to patient needs.
    • Completes work accurately and timely.
    • Operates with integrity and compliance.
    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Must hold clinical certification (OCS, SCS).
    • Licensed physical therapist in the state of service.
    • Preferred: FAAOMPT credential for Orthopedic residency sites, Athletic Trainer for Sports residency sites.
