    Job Description

    We are in need of an LPN school nurse for a client in Poughkeepsie. As the school's Licensed Practical Nurse, under the RN's supervision, you will oversee the health care needs of all students during afternoon and evening hours.

    Compensation:
    $31-$33 per hour, depending on pediatrics experience level.

    Requirements for the School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

    • Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License
    • NYS Driver's License
    • CPR Certification
    • EMR experience
    • Pediatrics experience (preferable)
    • Previous school nurse experience (preferred)

    Responsibilities of the School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

    • Manage students in a school setting, which includes:
      • Sick visits
      • Administering medications and immunizations
      • Recording orders
      • Handling emergencies like injuries
    • Document immunizations, health information, and other pertinent data
    • Provide first aid and prescribed services
    • Ensure security of school health supplies
    • Assist with personal care and hygiene
    • Maintain data confidentiality

    Schedule:

    • Full Time: Friday - Monday, 11am-9pm
    • Part Time: Sunday - Monday, 9am-7pm
