    Accounting Manager

    As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounting processes.

    Reporting directly to the Controller you will play a pivotal role in financial decision-making and strategic planning.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop comprehensive financial forecasts and budgets.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
    • Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including cash forecasting, investment strategies, and banking relationships.
    • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax filings, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any audit issues.
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
    • Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional growth and career advancement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
    • Proven experience (8 years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least X years of supervisory experience.
    • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
