    As a member of the Experience Delivery - Entertainment team, you will build and support the tools, services and distribution APIs that deliver content to our products including and the highly rated Marvel Unlimited digital comics app. We are looking for a passionate, impactful technologist who seeks to bring the best out in themselves and those around them. Someone who can provide a fresh perspective and innovative insight to our initiatives.
    Responsibilities:

    • Build and support APIs and tools that power and the Marvel Unlimited digital comics app.
    • Build and support the data pipelines behind the processing of our core systems.
    • Be involved in the requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of systems that support or enhance other applications within our environment.
    • Collaborate & troubleshoot with the rest of the team in the analysis and resolution of hard engineering problems involving high trafficked web application services and API's, including taking part of the on-call rotation.
    • Think of new ways to help make our data platform more scalable, resilient, and reliable and then work across our team to put your ideas into action. Research and learn new technologies.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • BS Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalent.
    • 3+ years experience in the field.
    • Some experience in developing high volume, cached, fault tolerant, multi-threaded scalable systems.
    • Experience with Java and open-source technologies like Go, Spring, MySQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, etc.
    • Exposure to cloud-based technologies such as AWS EC2, ECS, SQS, S3, Lambda, Terraform, etc.
    • Exposure to full lifecycle of application development, including best practices of unit testing, code reviews, documentation, etc.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
    • Strong analytical skills as well as solid capabilities for debugging and troubleshooting.
    • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

    The hiring range for this position in Bristol is $112,600 - $151,000 per year, in Glendale is $112,600 - $151,000 per year, Seattle is $118,000 - $158,200 per year and New York is $118,000 - $158,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
