    JOB SUMMARY:


    Works directly under the supervision of the director of cancer center and/or medical oncologist providing professional nursing care and coordinates the delivery of oncology treatments.

    Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

    Qualifications


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an accredited RN program. ADN required; BSN Preferred.
    • Current RN License in the State of Texas.
    • Basic Life Support Certification (or obtained during orientation)
    • ACLS, PALS, or NRP (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
    • Oncology Certified Nurse- (Obtained certification within six months of employment)
    • De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.
    • Minimum 2 years nursing expoerience in acut care setting. Medical Oncology experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy patient care.
