    The Machinist will combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuitry. The Machinist will operate, test, calibrate, and maintain mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment. The Machinist will work with other Technicians and Engineers to ensure testing equipment is operating effectively.


    What you'll do:


    Assist in design, interpret drawings and specifications, and perform mechanical fabricationEnsure the calibration of measurement tools and instrumentsInstall, maintain, and repair testing systems and electro-mechanical equipmentAssist in the development and fabrication of electronic componentsDocument operational procedures for mechanical equipmentSupport and participate in field testingPartner closely with R&D, Testing, and Conformance staff within the Equipment Standards departmentWhere you'll be: This role will be based at our campus in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

    Candidates may be expected to travel to our Liberty Corner, New Jersey campus for training prior to the Machine Shop opening on our Pinehurst campus.

    The anticipated start date for this role is in May 2024.


    What you bring:

    Required:
    Experience using conventional machine tools and equipment (e.g. lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
