- Mechanical/electrical set up and adjustments of equipment prior to production.
- Performs assigned preventive and scheduled maintenance on all equipment and machinery. Corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdowns and repairs/replaces parts, motors, control devices, asneeded.
- Performs installation, start-up, and tryout of all new manufacturing and plant equipment and systems.
- Fabricate andrepair equipment by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Updateand keep accuraterecords of machine programs, maintenance records, safety,andmachine performance.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains safeandclean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Must have high schooldiploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in technical field, trade school or mechanical training in machine repair, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics or minimum offive to sevenyears related work experience,preferably in an automotive stamping facility
- Must have a thorough understanding of machinery, their functions and maintenance requirements; Working knowledge of presses from 300 Ton to 1,600 Ton; Programmable Transfer die knowledge; Electrical experience with press controls and drive motor units.
- Experiencein preventative maintenance, mechanical trouble-shooting, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, electrical and PLC's.
- Must haveexcellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with all departments and outside contractors/vendors
- Must have above average organizational skills and be able to handle a number of simultaneousproject
- Experience with MicrosoftOffice or MRP software preferred.
