    Position Summary


    The Home Health Regional Vice President is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation.

    S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders.

    The Home Health Regional Vice President plans, directs, and controls activities of their assigned program(s) to accomplish budgeted financial and patient care objectives.

    Position Specific Responsibilities


    • Develops and maintains business plans to include all program requirements.
    • Provides input to the development of organizational strategy.
    • Establishes control standards and develops budget and cost controls for areas of responsibility.
    • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of volunteer coordinators, team coordinators, administrative nurses, and other areas of responsibility.
    • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
    • Trains and ensures all assigned team members are aware of and comply with company, government, and patient policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Assure state and federal regulatory compliance applicable to home health and reimbursement issues.
    • Educates all staff members about state and federal rules and regulations.
    • Acts as a liaison between staff, patients, physicians, and other health care providers.
    • Continually monitors clinical management and provides direction/redirection as necessary.
    • Works with all members of the medical community to promote home health care services.
    • Recruits, hires, orients, assigns, evaluates and guides staff positions to meet agency and patient needs.
    • Ensures delivery of quality care to patients, enhancement of business development, and continuous improvement of agency efficiency and fiscal success.
    • Directly supervises Executive Directors within the assigned program(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Education and/or Experience


    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience required.
    • At least two (2) years of experience in health care required.
    Skills


    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
    • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
    • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:
    The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities.

    Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.

    Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
