Position Summary:
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides ongoing preventive oral care through cleaning, scaling and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease.

RequirementsYour contribution to the team includes:
Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to: exposing/evaluating x-rays, oral cancer screening, prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, fluoride treatmentEducates patients on the importance of preventive care, the disease process and the role of bacteria; provides appropriate educational literature and instruction on home careMaintain accurate, complete digital documentationMaintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and Infection Control TrainingSterilizes dental instrumentsOther related duties as assignedRequirementsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProfessional and friendly with great chair side mannerOutstanding communication skillsEducation/ ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAssociate Degree in Dental HygieneExperience preferredSpecial Requirements/ Certifications/ LicensesRegistered Dental Hygienist LicenseLicenses required for this position must be kept current, valid, and in good standing with the presiding entity
