    What My Client is Looking For:

    My client is searching for a dynamic Billing Coordinator for their downtown Chicago office. They need someone responsible for ensuring efficient billing procedures and accurate invoicing to clients.     Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Prepare invoices according to the billing guidelines set by attorneys and clients.
    • Send invoices to clients via e-billing platforms, mail, or email, as per client preferences.
    • Review and confirm the accuracy of billing and accompanying documentation, following client specifications.
    • Submit budgets, approvals for timekeepers, and appeals to various e-billing platforms.
    • Handle complex invoicing tasks promptly, such as split-party billing.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill job duties effectively.
    • Work with the Accounting department to resolve discrepancies and issues.
    • Liaise closely with attorneys to gather necessary responses for bill reduction appeals and submit them.
    • Manage a high volume of invoices per month efficiently.
    • Maintain professionalism and uphold strict confidentiality in all matters related to clients and the firm.
    • Assist with special projects, reporting, and analysis as required.
    • Perform additional assigned duties.
    • Adapt to and learn new software systems efficiently.

    A dynamic Billing Coordinator applicant should have:

    • A High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external clients.
    • Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
    • Capacity to handle multiple assignments, sometimes under time constraints.
    • Excellent work ethic, including a readiness to work the necessary hours to fulfill the role.
