    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking a CT/X-Ray Tech with a minimum of 3 years of experience for a night shift position performing both CT and diagnostic radiography procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs CT and diagnostic radiography procedures in an acute care hospital setting
    • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
    • 12-week contract
    • Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiography and CT procedures, preparing patients, selecting and operating imaging equipment, evaluating image quality, and maintaining archival storage of digitized data
    • Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures, including verifying informed consent
    • Performs venipunctures and administers contrast media or medications as prescribed and permitted by state statute
    • Initiates basic life support when necessary
    • Participates in department quality assessment and improvement activities
    • May provide practical instruction to students and other healthcare professionals
    • Maintains compliance with universal precautions and aseptic techniques

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
    • ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required
    • Current OR Radiologic Technologist/CT Technologist license required if applicable
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to work with a culturally diverse population is desired
    • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
