    Job SummaryThe Instructional Lab Director
    • Indianapolis position is part of The Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering's world leading, laboratory based instructional team.
    This position will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of Purdue ECE's laboratory curriculum in Indianapolis:
    facilities, equipment, full-time staffing, student staffing, and content development in collaboration with faculty and West Lafayette lab staff.

    This will include direct coordination and administration of selected lab courses, supervision of staff responsible for remaining lab courses, and the monitoring, acquisition, and management of lab resources for all ECE labs at Indianapolis.

    This position will work closely with its counterpart on the West Lafayette campus to deliver a quality on-campus and online lab experiences that meet the same requirements regardless of location.


    What We Are Looking ForEducation and Experience:

    Required:
    Bachelor's degree Six (6) years of experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, or computer engineering technology An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered Experience managing or administering laboratories either in a full-time capacity or as a graduate teaching assistant Experience with EDA software, design and simulation tools, ECE topics, and electrical laboratory equipmentPreferred: At least four or more years of experience managing or administering laboratories either in a full-time capacity or as a graduate teaching assistantSkills:
    Required:
    Strong technical and professional communication skills Ability to manage teams of students and professionals Ability to work with UNIX and Windows operating systems Ability to operate and maintain a range of electronics laboratory instrumentation Ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical designsAdditional Information A background check will be required for employment in this position


    FLSA:
