    Job Description
    Our client, a leading construction company, is currently seeking an accomplished Estimator to join the team.

    Here is an overview of the role:
    1) Prepare and implement an estimate plan for assigned projects according to the company's procedures
    2) Utilize the task list as a tool to implement an estimate plan
    3) Review all problems of take-off conditions and document interpretation and provide an analysis to the Manager for direction
    4) Perform the take-off with speed and accuracy in accordance with the company's procedures
    5) Develop and be responsible for initial subcontractor or equipment vendors' contact as required
    6) Prepare, coordinate and convey project-related instructions, information, questions, and clarifications between management and various vendor and subcontract groups
    7) Notify the manager of irregularities in vendor and subcontract quotations and unusual labor situations
    8) Analyze changes in scope effectively and provide an estimate maximizing the company profit potential of each scope change.
    9) Review all reported document scope and take-off inconsistencies and provide direction to the Estimating Department that is in keeping with the company's procedures
    10) Review the estimate prior to bid wrap-up to ensure accuracy and completeness
    11) Develop, implement, and review take-off procedures for non-standard work
    12) Verify that only work as shown on the documents or as instructed by the Manager is included in the take-off
    13) Prepare estimates that can easily be used as cost control and management tools by the operating personnel
    14) Decide the course of action quickly
    15) Update trade take-off as needed throughout the bidding process and provide complete prints to the chief and lead estimator for incorporation into the bid
    16) Perform other duties as assigned
    Critical Requirements
    1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    2) Recent experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred
    3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in estimating
