- Leads the pipefitters/plumbers while equipment is installed, maintained, or repaired. Such equipment will include sinks, bathtubs, showers, water closets, urinals, drinking fountains, garbage disposals, dish washing machines, water heaters, hydrants, pumps, lavatories, stoves, air compression equipment, etc.
- Serves as the work lead to provide drain cleaning and sewer blockage clearing services.
- Oversees/conducts Backflow Preventor (BFP) testing certification and repairs.
- Works along with other employees and sets pace performing non-supervisory work of the same kind and level that is done by the group leader.
- Oversees the scheduling of work to keep everyone in work crews busy.
- Answers workers questions regarding procedures, policies, and written instruction/directives (., technical orders).
- Provides information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems (., additional on-the-job training requirements for individual employees.
- Serves as the employee responsible for and performing a variety of duties involved in the maintenance of buildings and related structures, fixtures, and utilities. Work Schedule: Full Time Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
- This position is in an AFGE Bargaining Unit position.

The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).
