- Provide expert advice on air quality impact analyses and meet client requirements throughout projects.
- Cultivate and manage client relationships.
- Lead the preparation of air permit applications and offer senior technical guidance to staff.
- Validate emission calculations and estimates, including those for routine and operational emissions.
- Conduct air dispersion modeling leveraging EPA-approved programs like AERMOD.
- Assist in preparing and overseeing various reporting and compliance plans to meet air quality regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Develop proposals, including scopes of work, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Produce cost proposals and qualification statements to meet financial targets.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide leadership.
- Establish solid relationships with current clients, customers, and contractors while exploring new business prospects.
- Deliver and participate in client and professional meetings.
- Oversee sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes.
- Uphold company and site safety policies.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an Engineering degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in air pollution permitting and compliance, environmental audits, and management systems.
- A master's degree in a related field can substitute for one year of experience.
- Prior consulting experience is a plus.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of air regulations at federal, state, and local levels, including the Clean Air Act, NSR/PSD, NESHAP, NSPS, Title V, Title VI, and similar regulations.
- Experience in conducting human health risk assessments.
- Ability to build effective relationships with contractors, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in oral and written communication, technical writing, and presenting complex information clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
