Description
Western Health are recruiting Registered Nurses to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care (Emergency Nursing) at our Footscray or Sunshine Emergency Department (ED). Our ED's offer opportunities to work in a diverse streaming model including paediatric treatment areas, adult treatment areas, resuscitation environments, behavioural assessment units, fast track treatment areas, triage, short stay and an Alcohol and Other Drug crisis hub. With ongoing bedside clinical support and specialised emergency education from the ED Clinical Nurse Educator team, in affiliation with the University of Melbourne, this diverse opportunity allows staff to develop and experience everything emergency nursing has to offer in a well-supported environment. Scholarships will be available for eligible applicants.
We have four acute public hospitals: Footscray, Sunshine (including Joan Kirner Women's and Children's), Williamstown and Bacchus Marsh & Melton Hospitals. We care for a wonderfully diverse and very large communities with complex care needs, ranging from Neonates to Geriatrics.
Construction for our new Footscray Hospital is in progress, making it the largest ever health infrastructure investment in Victoria allowing staff a diverse variety of career opportunities at Western Health.
