    IT Service Desk Intern at MDU Resources Group in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Description MDU Resources is seeking an Intern to work on the IT Service Desk and, over a phased approach, learn to image devices and resolve hardware vulnerability tasks.

    The Intern will be paired with an Associate Endpoint Administrator as a mentor and will job shadow until able to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision, then continue to expand job responsibilities based on the mastery of assigned tasks.

    This position will assist with technical hardware and software service in the form of set-up, configuration, testing, installation, maintenance, operating systems and break/fix of physical/virtual endpoint and applications supported.

    The selected candidate will provide on-site, telephone, email, chat, and other methods of customer support for inquiries and problems and coordinate resolution efforts with other departments and staff while maintaining appropriate service records and documentation.

    This position may be eligible for scholarship funding. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. OTHER REQUIREMENTS + This position is located on site in Boise, ID at the IGC General Office. + Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. + Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks. + May be required to maintain a valid driver's license. + Work approximately 16-20 hrs./week during the school year. Up to 40 hours may be available during summer and breaks. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Document incidents, resolutions, and time spent via ticketing system. + Assist and provide Mobile Device support. + Assist with printer maintenance and support. + Assist within corporate image and deployment of image and applicable software. + Assist with PC Setups, deployments, re-deployments. + Administrative Tasks + Assist Help Desk with calls and chats. + Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
