Job Title: Substation CAD Drafter III

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation CAD Drafter III to join our team in Houston, working a hybrid schedule. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our CAD Lead/Manager and collaborate with substation design engineers, designers, and other drafters in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

• Complete routine, medium-to-high complexity drafting tasks, following client and local standard procedures.
• Create and modify drawings using engineering markups with a high level of attention to details on various drawing types.
• Work efficiently and be highly organized, completing tasks on time in a fast-paced engineering/production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Complete tasks at medium speed, with a high level of accuracy requiring Drafting Software Expertise – High and Specialized Engineering Drafting Practices – High.
• Collaborate with the engineering team, leveraging prior experience to complete non-routine, specialized, and customized drafting tasks independently.

Qualifications:

• Ambitious individuals with an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design degree from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures, as well as proficiency with vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
