    AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 YEARS OR OLDER

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the day-to-day technical maintenance of all slot machines located on the gaming floor or elsewhere while providing World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees & guests.

    All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   • Provides guests with information, technical assistance, and efficient servicing of machine malfunctions.
  • Investigates machines with par deviations.
  • Performs daily and continuous general and technical maintenance of slot accounting system (SDS)
  • Service slot machines and other gaming related equipment.
  • Informs Technician/Shift Supervisor of incidents that require their attention.
  • Trains new Slot Technicians and other floor personnel as directed.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Isleta Resort and Casino policies and procedures.
  • Ensures tidiness of assigned area.
  • Ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.
  • Greets guests, maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.

  • Gives basic instruction on all Slots, promotions, and special events, as requested.
  • Assists Slot Technician Supervisor and Slot Technician Manager with other duties as required; Occasionally performs other duties as need.

    Education and Experience:

    · High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent, required.

    · Satisfactory completion of a recognized trade school, preferred.

    · Associate's Degree in Electronics or related field, preferred.

    · Mechanical and/or electronic skills, relating to the repair of state of the art gaming equipment, preferred.

    · Three (3) years prior slot experience, preferred.


    Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Key Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
  • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
  • Must be 21 years or older.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be well versed in the following equipment: Sencore: Oscilloscope, Capacitor & Inductor Analyzer, Triple Output DC Power Supply, Computer Monitor Analyzer, Variable Isolation Transformer, and Safety Analyzer
  • Must possess strong critical and analytical thinking skills Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity and respect for individuals.
  • Must possess moderate computer skills and be able to operate Microsoft applications and software.
  • Must be able to communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative,
  • and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
  • Must possess and exhibit a positive attitude towards internal and external guests at all times.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    · Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds.

    · Must be able to push/pull over 100 pounds with assistance.

    · Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

    Working Conditions:

    Smoke filled environment, exposure to various lights and sounds. Occasionally may deal with angry or hostile individuals. Must be on call at all times. May work holidays, weekends, and different shifts.
