    Position Purpose

    Performs Ultrasound exams including OB/Gyn, abdominal, breast and small parts on a scheduled or emergent basis. Assists Radiologist as requested when needed. Ages of patients served range in age from newborn to geriatric.

    What You Will Do


    • Operates 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound unit with appropriate transducers utilized to perform and adequately ascertain the location of specific organs, with demonstration on film with recordings of appropriate calculations for measurements.
    • Assists physician(s) and/or radiologist(s) in specialized procedures.
    • Utilizes critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper protocols.
    • Assesses each patient for proper prep/scanning procedure for each ordered exam.
    • Follows the ARDMS rules and regulations.
    Minimum Qualifications


    • Must be board eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiology Technologist.
    • Must be certified as a RDMS or ARRT in ABD, OB/GYN, Breast and RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) within a time frame determined by the hiring manager and in accordance with the American College of Radiology.
    • Completion of associate degree in area of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
