    Responsibilities

    The Occupational Medicine Physician will be required to perform pre-placement and periodic surveillance examinations on patientsand to evaluate employees with work-related injuries, illnesses, or exposures.The Physician will also perform episodic care for YNHHS employees and assist with bridging care to our primary care providers. She/he willwork collaboratively with co-workers and other health care professionals to ensure a high standard of patient care, efficient clinic operations, and education and training for the clinicians. We offer teaching opportunities with an appointment at the Yale School of Medicine.

    Education:

    Licensure and Education:

    The Occupational Medicine Physician will hold a valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of CT. DEA and CSR required. Board Certification in Occupational Medicine or a related specialty (Preventive Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine) is required, as well as clinical experience in Occupational Medicine and episodic care. If a candidate is a recent graduate of an Occupational Medicine or Preventive Medicine training program, board eligibility is an acceptable alternative.

    Experience:

    Occupational Medicine with the emphasis on direct patient care and continuing to develop and train others as our services continue to grow.
