    Established in 1996, NOVA was originally founded to provide Environmental Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services to the design and construction community, largely in the southeastern United States.     NOVA is seeking a CWI/NDT Inspector to cover the state of South Carolina, based out of our Greenville, Columbia or Charleston offices. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
    • Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
    • Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
    • Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
    • Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
    • Input results and observations into daily reports

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience is required
    • Current CWI certification required
    • AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 experience a plus
    • NDT Level II in in UT Shearwave and MT are required
    • ICC certifications a plus: Welding, Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel
    • Experience with bridge inspections a plus

NOVA's facilities include AASHTO-accredited laboratories in soils, concrete, aggregate and hot-mix asphalt testing/inspection.
