- Collects and reviews documentation for program eligibility and suitability according to Local Policy and Directives.
- Schedules and conducts in-depth interviews to include questionnaires, program rules and other requirements, as needed.
- Provides information about available workforce services.
- Provides required program specific documentation to applicants and schedules next appointment.
- Facilitates virtual and/or in-person work readiness curriculum.
- Proctors assessment testing as appropriate.
- Provides professional customer service and communicates efficiently with customers, peers, and management (verbally and in writing, as appropriate).
- Tracks progress of customers to ensure they have completed all required steps in order to be enrolled and assigned to stages of programs in a timely fashion.
- Tracks and documents customer progress using appropriate tools and applying compliant data entry guidelines.
- Enters data into the mandated database system accurately and timely.
- Remains compliant with all training offered to ensure up-to-date knowledge of processes and procedures.
- Complies with self-audit guidelines and other processes to assure case quality.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with private/sensitive issues and information.
- Ability to work efficiently virtually using phone, text, and video conference with customers, peers and management.

TITLE: Intake Career Advisor - Choice Program
REPORTS TO: Area Manager
LOCATION: Any WSET Office Location - Palestine or Athens WSET preferred
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Hourly Employee
Job Summary: A Career Team Intake Career Advisor is responsible for working with program applicants to identify, assess, and communicate regarding program suitability and opportunities. The position works with eligible individuals to complete and document the requirements for accessing the services identified in the initial service planning.

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent relevant work experience or a combination of 4 years' qualifying education plus relevant work experience.
Skills/Abilities: Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel and Word, Microsoft TEAMs, Zoom or similar platforms.
Required Competencies: Professional Customer Service focus, learning orientation, communication proficiency, teamwork orientation, technical capacity.
Wage: $18/hr
Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations within the East Texas service area.
